Tulip Cylcing

We took a self guided tour in Netherlands with Tulip Cycling. They provided bikes, locks, panniers, handlebar bags printed maps and a GPS with the route. They met us EXACTLY on time (how Dutch of them) and took our luggage to hold it for us while we rode and met us at the end to collect the bikes and give us back our luggage. Our route was well planned and was as agreed upon with about 35 miles a day average. They took us on back roads that included great scenery and nice quiet little Dutch towns. Over the four days we really anjoyed the route and found the GPS easy to follow. Chris D., Broussard, LA

We chose Tulip Cycling in The Netherlands for a 3 day tour on Dutch bikes in the countryside near Arnhem. Peter Vos, co-owner, met us promptly at the Arnhem train station, with a big smile and excellent instructions, had our RIH handmade, 8 speed bikes ready to go, and his very nice sag wagon was there to transport our luggage. He provided us with easy-to-read, laminated maps and a Garmin gps (fully programmed) based on our preferences for each day. We biked 55-60k per day, beginning in Arnhem, staying one night in Zutphen, one in Deventer, and then met Peter again with the bikes and took a train back to Amsterdam. Peter's choice of trails and roads was excellent for us to see the most beautiful parts of Holland, some castles, and the hotels were fantastic. Our luggage was waiting for us at each stop. We found our own dining spots along the way, and must say that Deventer's dining is worth an entire trip to The Netherlands! Well organized cycling tour of Holland. I told them my arrival and departure dates and that I would like to stay in smaller B&Bs or hotels rather than a chain. They took it from there -- bike, B&Bs or hotels, phone, etc... Peter met me at the tour's beginning point and adjusted the bike, explained the equipment and GPS system, and answered all my questions. After the tour he met me again and we discuss the trip and any concerns I had. I highly recommend them. Well done. - J. Johnson, Winterthur, Switzerland

60th B'day plus a husband who doesn't cycle! Peter Vos at Tulip Cycling embraced the challenge. I asked for an independent, 30 miles average per day, flat route, low-traffic, scenic views, culture, quaint towns, and a decent place to put our heads down for the night. He gets an A+. This trip exceeded my expectations and my husband said he enjoyed 90% of the trip. Not bad for someone who ordinarily doesn't cycle. For me 100% enjoyment. - EML, Columbia, MD

Took their short break tour. It was outstanding! The maps and GPS took us to places we would have never gotten to. Everything about Tulip Cycling was very well done. The was nothing that could have been done better. This is a tour company that strives to be perfect, and they succeed.- Jim Massie, Olcott, NY
