The Cycling House:

This was my first bike tour / camp, but I was really happy with The Cycling House camp in Tucson, AZ the first week of March, 2016. Great to escape the late winter cold of the Pac NW to get some sunshine and an early start to my triathlon training. Stayed at a house with 15 other guests, 5 enthusiastic young staff members, we had daily rides of 40-50 miles (including the famous Mount Lemmon climb!), we were served three tasty and nutritious meals each day, they also offered some short courses on cooking, bike maintenance and riding skills. I'll be back next year! - S. Talbot, Bellingham, WA

This was my second camp with The Cycling House and like the first it was amazing. The rides, food, and service were perfectly dialed in! Can't wait to go back! - Dodi N., Mercer, WA

Still riding on a natural high from the incredible experience The Cycling House crew created! They have built an exceptional operation that goes above and beyond in catering to all imaginable camper wants/needs. They share their passion and bring so much joy to others. Will absolutely sign up for another trip! - Courtney Green, Golden, CO

Our trip last October with Siciclando was outstanding. Every detail was well attended to and enhanced our experience in discovering Sicily. Authentic, well paced, well organized-couldn't be better. Ascending to the top of Mt. Etna was an unforgettable experience that capped off a week of touring the highlights of Sicily, cycling, and savouring one culinary treat after another. Mille grazie to Giuseppe and Daniele who did an exceptional job of taking care of us! - Chuck Sledge, Houston, TX

Owen Gue and his team are top notch riders and solid individuals. They work to understand your capabilities and objectives, then put together rides that exceed your expectations. Equipment and housing were exceptional. Food was really good and plentiful. More than anything, though, you are riding with guys who love the sport, are willing to share their experience with you, but understand it is your vacation and do not force themselves on you. I will be back. - M. Jennings, Dallas, TX

4 buddies and I finished a great 4 day camp with the cycling house. We rode MTB and road bikes at all the great places. Owen & Brandon have the perfect mix of customer service and friendliness down. The accommodations were perfect, the food was healthy and appropriate for the activities and the overall experience was like riding with old friends who happen to pull all the time and serve you food. - Marc Rossiter, Cypress, TX

It doesn't get any better than how the folks at The Cylcing House organize and conduct their tours. The people are world class, to say nothing of being exuberant about cycling and touring on a bike, the routes are well planned and masterfully supported (they always seem to be there when needed--how do they do that?), and the food is five star. TCH's pride in providing 'the ultimate training experience' is right on and well earned in all respects. - Peter Benner, West Hartford, CT

Rather than comparing The Cycling House to other tour companies, I compare them to other great companies, like Disney or Ritz Carlton, their service and attention to detail is exemplary for any company and an example of what a company does to become an icon in thier industry. - Alan Jones, St. Louis, MO

Where to start... I love these guys..from the friendly airport pickup.. to the bike support.. to the great food.. they are top notch.. I am not a person that generally likes to hang out with large groups.. but when surrounded by such friendly people it becomes so easy to relax and just enjoy...... I am starting to feel like one of the family!!! - Jon Norris, Madison, WI

Excellent service, fantastic support, great meals and a whole lot of fun. I will make a point to make a trip to the cycling house a yearly occurrence - S. Musco, Missoula, MT

The Cycling House provides accommodation for all of it's particpants in one well-designed, enormous house. It is a great forum to get to know others, but there is space for privacy if that is desired. Meals (which are excellent) are taken together- also great for getting to know fellow participants. You can do as much or as little as you want and they will tailor the cycling to your requirements. They really accomodate making it work for YOU. No pressure.. - A Bell-Peter, Mississauga, ON- Matt Firebaugh, Seattle, WA

Tuscon Camp: First Class rides that are followed by first class support and accommodations. The house we stayed in was huge and unbelievably comfortable with the best pre and post ride food I have ever had. Fully supported rides that included all the Hammer Nutrition products you needed. The Cycling House and the Staff, as far as I am concerned, cannot be beat or outdone in the Cycling Camp arena. - Craig A., Vadnais Heights, MN

Talk about a place that has a mission driven staff, of wonderful human beings, whose reason-to-be, is to give its clients a great week, on bikes and off. In addition to sun and epic road climbs that inspire one to think of Tucson, there's a lot that makes the Cycling House its own treasure. First off-- the vibe. As a camper you are put at ease both in the house, and on the bike. Not knowing other campers, I've always felt at home the lovely Tucson digs. The rides are extremely well organized, and all campers, regardless of level, are put at ease and taken care of. The food is amazing. And delightfully nourishing. The staff are elite athletically; they share training knowhow, and support you on rides. This year I rented a bike from the CH fleet. The bike was great, perfectly fit upon arrival, and tuned daily. Other perks; availability to a masseusse, the espresso machine, and the ping pong table! While the level of care is high, this is not a pampered spa or stuff
y in any way. - Peter Lambros, Missoula, MT

This was my second time with The Cycling House and I can't say enough good things about my experience. The staff is very well organized, caring and totally professional. The rides are wonderful, the food fantastic, and everyone has a great time. Rides are tailored to each person's ability, the sag wagon is always there when you need it, and, in spite of unseasonally cold weather, everyone rode with a smile on their faces. I highly recommend choosing a tour with this company - you won't be disappointed! - Terry Slaven, Wasilla, AK

Staff, food, Housing, planning = perfect - Corrie Smith, Anchorage, AK

Training with The Cycling House is an amazing experience. The rides are difficult, but support is given for those who are not up to the day's task. Options are given for the more experienced cyclists to put in additional mileage. The living arrangements are part of the fun, as the riders stay together in a single (albeit large) house, which adds to the spirit of comraderie. Opportunities are given for additional workouts and/or massages. And, finally, the food is outstanding, and is both healthy and flavorful. That's why I am, and will continue to be, a repeat customer..- Ghent Lummis, Houston, TX

The Cycling House does an amazing job - it was a great week with fantastic cycling, leadership, food and accommodations. I would highly recommend it if you want some challenging and spectacular rides with friendly and outgoing people as you enjoy a week in lovely Tucson!.- Cory Freedman, Toronto, ON

Great set up. Big friendly house with accommodating staff added to the great cycling. Great rides and support from start to finish.- Geoff H., IL

I have been a regular at The Cycling House in Tucson for nearly a decade. These young men are gifted in that they can show respect to the older athlete without being condescending. They cook like gods. They tailor make rides for each of us. They take us under their wings. I have traveled with other companies but would now go with no one else. Celeste Callahan, Colorado

We enjoyed a week's stay at The Cycling House's Winter camp in Arizona. Everything was taken care of, including bike set up, meals, guided rides, nutrition and hydration, after ride entertainment options / ideas. The staff of the camp were extremely personable, fit, and knowledgeable about all aspects of riding a bike. Aside from the wonderful accommodations and staff, the edge this group has is the professional aspect of the camp in offering Hammer Nutrition products, body strength exercises, tips on riding various terrain, etc. etc. Their knowledge runs deep and they are ready and willing to share. I highly recommend this camp for the serious cyclist, and also those who may not be as serious about performance, but want to enjoy their riding more - this is a great place to do so. Ann Howard, Morrisville, VT

The most difficult part of this is limiting my enthusiastic support for The Cycling House to one paragraph. Although the service was amazing, from airport arrival and bike build to departure, the food kicked it, the facilities still move me in unspeakable ways, the real difference was the people. Owen Gue and his team are simply the coolest people you are going to ride with. Somehow they pull off the most intense riding sessions with such a relaxed attitude that if my legs didn't hurt so bad I might think I was just chillin with a bunch of friends. They kicked my ass but I'm going back, so I hope to meet you there, we'll have an absolute blast. David Tinklepaugh, North Kingstown, RI

The Staff was extremely positive, helpful and professional. The food and location was outstanding. Making it all a very memorable week of riding. Ted V., London, Ontario, Canada

In short....great service! As cyclists, the Cycling House staff really have their service dialed in; great food (and '53x11' coffee!), prompt out-of-the-airline box bike assembly (a nice touch), excellent local route knowledge and ride support for all levels, laundry facilities, product samples from quality names like Hammer Nutrition and HED etc. Having said that, accommodation is very nice(large new desert-style house) if a bit casual, with double occupancy. Hammer-heads can go hard while those in 'mid-winter form' will still be supported. Having said that be prepared for a bit of casual living; bedrooms are simple but comfortable, usually double occupancy, laptops and iPads everywhere. Graham H, Toronto ON

The crew at the Cycle House, lead by Owen Gue, treated us to a spectacular stay in Tucson in late Feb 2011. We had great riding, organized friendly guides and fantastic meals. We plan to go back in 2012 and stay longer next time. Thomas Waniewski, Wynnewood, PA

If you want to know what it feels like to train like a pro, visit The Cycling House, or do one of their destination camps. I did a camp in Tucson this past winter. The Cycling House provided first class accommodations, amazing home cooked meals, incredible rides and 100% support. You basically show up and train. Everything else is done. They setup your bike, get you ready to roll each day, give you all the fuel you need and make sure your rides. Equally as important, the people who work for The Cycling House are wonderful to be around. They work hard, play hard, and all know how to tear it up on the bike. J. Panzer, New York, NY

They are willing to customize the rides for all skill levels. The staff is extremely friendly and fun to be around. The food is excellent and they will make anything you want. What else is there to say. Steve Johnston, Oakdale, CT

I've been on several cycling/multisport camps over the past 5 years, and i have to say that these guys are the most professional--yet fun--group of the bunch! They are completely client-oriented, and knowledgeable but without any hint of resentment at how stupid/selfish/whiney/egotistical/you-name-it! their clients might be. The food is exceptional across the board, the accomodations outstanding, and the general atmosphere they create makes it a pleasure to be there. Youget what you pay for! Lisa Wei-haas, Tulsa, OK

I have been to The Cycling House in January 2010 and January 2011. I enjoyed myself so much the first time that I came back the following year and plan on going back next year. I believe that alone speaks volumes. Both experiences were in Tuscon, Arizona. I can say unequivocally that there is no better riding in the winter months than Tuscon. Owen Gue (the owner) and his crew are top notch. From the great guides to the great cook, all matters are taken care of. From the time you step off the plane in Tuscon, every detail is taken care of. They shuttle you and your bike to the house. Or I should say mansion. They put your bike together. All rides are with a guide or 2 or 3!!! No need for a GPS! The Chef (Ty) keeps you nice an healthy while you there. My energy level was never an issue with the amount of food that was offered at The Cycling House. I had a massage every night I was there. The other cyclists from all over the U.S. were very friendly and encouraging
to be with. J. Appel, Toronto, Canada

I have attended two Cycling House Tuscon Camps. The staff is outstanding. The food is off the charts good. The house is beautiful. The riding spectacular. You wouldn't know it from these comments but I'm actually quite hard to please. But these guys are that good. I recomend The Cycling House to anyone who rides a bike and wants to enjoy a week in the desert when its cold at home! Anthony Pace, West Granby, CT

Went to my first camp in Tucson last Feb. We stayed at an awesome house, like 3m. When we woke up our breakfast was ready, prepared by Ty, (top of the line chef) and I bikes were all ready to go, on the van, all we had to do was climb in. Every meal was excellent. I was not at the top of the group and when I would fall back Anya was there to ride with me or bring me back. Brandon was always around to help with questions and Owen was always ready with whatever you needed on the ride. I would recommend these guys to anyone. Owen has my email and number and I would be happy to talk to someone thinking about joining up with TCH for a great experience. Eldon D Brown, Del Rio, TX

The Cycling House staff was awesome. I have recruited friends and teammates to go with me every year for the last 3 years and our crew gets bigger everytime. I would recommend this house to anyone that wants a few days of solid riding. Owen has a remarkable understanding of hospitality industry and what it takes to keep guests coming back year after year. The staff and food are exceptional and the rides are top notch.Noah K., Philadelphia, PA

Great crew lead by Owen Gue!! Great rides with excellent support. Superb food. One could not ask for a better cycling camp experience!! Chas Day, Bozeman, MT

Owen and his staff make it a true 'pro' experience! A tip of the hat to The Cycling House! Jed Z., Missoula, MT

The Cycling House is unique in that it offers tours to a group from.a posh base camp with expert guides, full support vehicles, awesome healthy food, and a crew of the best people you'll meet anywhere. Whether it is a destination camp, a camp with a coach, or a camp for a group of friends, The Cycling House will bend over backwards to fill your every need. They will spoil you. You get to focus on riding the bike, learning and having fun. Going home is tough. Susan Forf, Cookeville, TN

The Cycling House sets the benchmark that all other cycling camp/tour companies should aspire to. I am a repeat client that will continue to return due to the outstanding service that the TCH crew provides. The staff knows exactly what is necessary to create an exceptional experience: great accommodations, world-class food, a knowledgeable staff of talented cyclists, challenging and beautiful routes all wrapped in a 'you're family' ethic. The needs of each individual rider are attended to. Your form not quite there yet? You will never ride alone. You want to hammer? No problem; there is a pro rider who will bring the pain! The only downside is the addicting experience TCH don't want the camp to end and you WILL be back! Tim Sullivan, Westchester, IL

A great training experience!! They provide an intimate setting with wonderful food and coaches! Tim Mather, Marlborough, CT

The Cycling House is no doubt the best place to go for a cycling oriented trip. Every ride is guided not by someone who acts like there there for the money but someone who's out for a great ride with friends. The food was the best I have ever had it made going home to my moms cooking pretty tough. Everyone working at the house was helpful not just during the rides, but after as well teaching me about recovery, race tactics, training, power tap. They got me on my feet for the season and can't wait to go back year after year. Jack MacClarence, Albany, NY

The Cycling House's amazing staff are really what makes them a perfect vacation option. They are fun, laid back, approachable, yet very professional about providing you with the best vacation possible on two wheels. Their accommodations and locations around the world are top notch. I think that having a home base for a cycling vacation is a great way to go, and The Cycling House is a great place to look! Phil Grove, Whitefish, MT

These guys provide a great all around experience. Chris W., Summit, NJ

Absolutely the BEST!! Excellent rides, suberb food, fantastic staff. We come back every year. TriSuccss Multisport Coaching, Nashville, TN

A person's experience at The Cycling House is %100 Organic. As a camper I truly felt like the it was my camp, my house and meals were prepared just right. With a lot of camps to choose from, going to various locations, TCH offers something for every level. The camp I attended was mostly triathletes and literly everyone was breaking through platues because there was a lot of time to recover and learn from other athletes. Andrew Fast, Leavenworth, WA

Great people make this a fantastic camp. Very helpful and accommodating. They cook terrific healthy meals. The riding is excellent. Mount Lemmon is a beast of a climb. Not too steep but very long. They have ride support and usually split into 2 or more groups so you can go your own pace. They mix up the routes and terrain so you have different rides each day. Highly recommend it if you want do get in some serious winter miles, hang with great people, eat well and relax. It's not a tour but a great place to ride a lot. Lenny K, Roslyn, NY
